This Labor Day weekend, the Homeplace 1850s Working Farm is celebrating the hard labor and hand work skills of our ancestors during our Trades Fair. At a time when few things were manufactured, people had to rely on their skills or their neighbors to produce everything from knitted socks to horseshoes.
Visit this weekend with local historical trades and craft people as they share their skills and knowledge of these lost folk arts. Featuring our Children’s Trades Fair, a special opportunity for children to learn historic trades too. Hand crafted items will be available for purchase.
