An important source of food forthe families of the 1850s was the garden. The garden provided a variety ofdifferent fruits and vegetables that supplemented the staples they could buyand trade for at the local market. An interpreter will be available today in atleast one of the two major food hotspots on our farm, the garden and thekitchen. Say hello and learn how we grew, ate, and preserved our bounty in anera before refrigeration!
